Tony and Dawn are lifelong Elmwood residents who grew up here and graduated from Elmwood schools. Today, Tony owns and operates a Mini Storage business here in Elmwood, and Dawn just celebrated her retirement on January 1st after many dedicated years at both the vet clinic and MAI.

As proud parents, they didn't just raise their wonderful daughter here; they opened their home as foster parents to four children, and Tony stepped up as a Big Brother to another child right here in the village. Today, the Baiers' hearts are truly overflowing with love, especially when they talk about their two grandchildren, ages five and three.

But their love doesn't stop at the front door—it overflows directly into our community. Tony has dedicated himself to the School Board, spent about 30 years as the voice of the UFO Days parade announcer, and brought magic to Elmwood for over 40 years as Santa’s favorite helper for the Community Club’s Santa Day, missing only a couple of years for medical reasons. Of course, behind every great servant is an incredible partner, and Dawn is always right there serving too. From getting Tony into his Santa suit and driving him to events, to gathering parade information cards and being his ultimate support system, Dawn and Tony are the very heartbeat of Elmwood.
